Artist Statement
I favor using a blend of painting, drawing, mixed media and found objects where the distinction between 2-D and 3-D elements is intentionally ambiguous. In the current series, Consonants, there is an exploration of the world of everyday consumer objects and toys using the alphabet as an organizational device. The resulting cacophony of forms set against a faux splash of silver with drips on the wall is a celebration of random association, form and color, and, perhaps, the ultimate absurdity of categorization itself.
